PRW Sniper Instructor School-- An advanced sniper school for veterans of the craft. Learn teaching methods for new personnel while working on your own skills. Prepare yourself to lead your team. This course has a written exam, practical test and shooting qualification. Three days on the range and two days in a classroom. Course pre-requisites consist of being assigned as a police sniper for at least three years, Range officer or comparable LE instructor credentials, and attending the core PRW Workshop class, PRW Adv. Sniper Scenarios or PRW Adv. Sniper courses. (Equivalent courses taken with comparable training institutions can be accepted with resume) A letter of recommendation from your Commander is also required.

I know nothing about the outfit, but there's no "About us" or background on their instructors.

They advertise their basic LE sniper course "Exceeds POST requirements," but they don't offer accreditation or note if their instructors are POST- or military-qualified or certified.

Your money, your call.

I learned from going to civilian or business-offered courses they rarely flunk anyone (since they're paying customers).

As someone who’s POST certified in two states, that ain’t saying much for the quality of instruction you might be getting. Could be just one level above how not to shoot your eye out....

If you’re spending your coin or the departments coin go take a class from a known trainer. Let someone else be the guinea pig here

Probably nothing you don't already know... LE tends to over-use the term "sniper" where precision rifleman or DM is more appropriate. "Sniper" as you use and understand it is a much broader craft with interdependent skills sets and application. Few teams do that.

Even NRA refers to it's course as a Precision Rifle Instructor, and is limited to a very basic application of the shooting piece.
