    Damned handy though, and hits to 200 are cake.
    A true "Gun Guy" (or gal) should have familiarity and a modicum of proficiency with most all firearms platforms.

    I have a sweet 1911. But it isn’t blued. It’s powder coated or something.

    Blued is such a classic look. Kind of a little envious!

    Don't be, it's nothing special in provenance--a parts-bin mixmaster whose real value is in the memories of the old and now-departed friend who built it and the young lady it once protected with me.

    Now for the one I'm speccing to replace it... I'm having a hard time deciding which option would be most durable here in the Northwet between stainless or Cerakote.

    Ive actually, just in the last months, realized that FDE and coyote brown blend in better all around (at all times of the year) than even green... even in OH/PA/WV area.

    I think its the best base for (or at least a necessary part of) a solid camo.

    The only possible exception would be night, where mid/dark gray may be better - havent tested that yet.
