Man, I need to do better with logs. I shoot a huge variety of ranges.
With pistol, usually 7-25yds, depending on drill or qual. I’ll push to 75 or 100 at least once a month for S&G when I’m stateside. I tend to disappoint myself at 25, but I can get A/C-zones at 75, no problem. Occasionally I’ll do something dumb, like try to hit the 200 or 300, which I’m very unsuccessful at. Sometimes for a qual (FBI, NCDOJ, etc), or for Dot Torture, I’ll shoot as close as powder burn. I usually do Dot Torture at 3-5yds.
For rifle, a lot of 7-50yds, with rare practice as close as 3yds, or powder burn in a shoothouse. I frequently use a PCC for up-to 50yd practice/training instead of 5.56. 50-200yds at least a couple times a month. I usually do a .mil qual to 300m at least twice a year. I shoot a match that goes to 500yds quarterly. I push further than that maybe once or twice a year for a day or two. I do that with 5.56.
Occasionally, I’ll do 600-1000yds with a borrowed gun in a larger caliber. About once a year.
