    ATF agentís resignation letter

This agent quit after 18 years and cites the Leftists who have taken over the agency as his reason.

I would prefer he stay behind enemy lines and help us, but I definitely understand his position.
Reminder, we don't need to ruin every thread with social/political commentary and thread drift. Sometimes, it's okay to just talk about the topic.

If this is true the dude has balls. 18 friggin' years and leaves? Maybe he had some military time he bought back and therefore had 20 or more years of Federal service? I dunno.

I can only hope his assertions about most other agents being pro-gun are true.

If this is the real-deal then I wish that guy Godspeed and more power to ya!

One more thing: why are all Federal FBI/ATF/DEA known as "special agents"? Isn't "agent" alone enough? Oh wait, they're Feds so that alone justifies it. Yeah, I'm nitpicking......

Maybe he just put his principles above his security.

Such a foreign concept these days.

What's the plan when you can no longer outvote the corruption?

Yeah not sure why he didn’t lateral over to another 3 letter agency to get his 20. They do that pretty frequently. Hopefully he did have military service which gave him his 20 years.

It has to do with their respective responsibilities and being give “special” authority in those areas.

Probably no longer enjoys any kind of personal discretion in most matters and simply receives marching orders and is expected to execute them. That is what large bureaucratic agencies typically devolve into, just another group of generals waiting on Hitler to wake up so they can have permission to move tanks on June 6.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

Yes, he should just lateral over to a 3 letter agency that has integrity, loves the Constitution and selflessly serves the citizens. Oh, waitÖ.
