If you copy and paste the letter a lot of grammatical and spelling errors are flagged. Seems odd. Not saying it is bogus just you would think the writer would have checked it.

OTOH, I've seen many Fortune 500 senior/executive managers whose literacy is even worse... you'd expect better from Masters degrees, even special-ed MBA's.

I bet his management barely read any of it, just enough to get the gist and then forwarded it down the hall to the local FBI field office.

I didn't closely read every word but I didn't see much to disagree with nor much I'd generally consider revealing or otherwise surprising. AmmoLand characterizes the letter as "leaked" to them. By who? Did the employee purposely make his resignation letter public or was it leaked without his knowledge? A cynical person might read the letter and wonder if the guy was looking to be a guest on Hannity.

I applaud any person who decides to leave a job over principle and values, especially in this economy. It is sad that instead of 'leading the way' they are largely seen as pariahs, a la the students in Les Miserables, where they think they are opening a path for revolt but really no one really cares. This guy, the Marine Lt. Col., etc.

It's a S### show you don't play ball you don't move up. If you're willing to do what they want your golden. I got burned on getting transferred out to different job and location. A few buddies of mine tried to point me to others, nope done with it. The crap I've seen and seen others do, ones that couldn't get hired by any P.D. or S.O. then FastTracked to "leadership" positions. Seen a dirtbag popped with over a pound of dope, scales over 5k cash and a loaded gun. Issued citation for simple possession and released. Contractor for one of them.
Not from the letters agencies but I walked after over 17 years. Now 2 months in to "unpaid retirement" from FED LEO job.

I have a friend, a former coworker, who retired from the FBI at minimal time. He never got beyond agent, never interested in leadership or the politics. In fact, he hated it, and he did not care for the organization. He felt forced to stay in for the bennies and retirement (he has a special needs son), and never went for plum assignments or locations (again, because of son, stayed in North Carolina except for postings at Quantico).

"The former Special Agent believes that the administration is targeting the conservative population." That goes without saying. I'd expect even more so for Libertarians, or highly libertarian oriented like yours truly. Surprised they have not labelled Libertarians as terrorists Nazi's yet to shut down any possibilities, of Libertarian candidates running and costing them the WH by losing some small % of votes in close races, or being a general thorn in their side.

The letter just tells us what we all know, will be shared and discussed among those already awares, and will have no impacts.
