I don’t think these bullets could be any more “explodey” if they were filled with ACME TNT by Wile Y Coyote.

Same here. I ran them out to 900 yards on the ACOG. It only reticles to 600, so I estimated 750 and 900. I took a few cracks at 1000 but ran out of ammo (20 round mag). 100-500 tracked great on the reticle with 600 needing a low favor. And this is with the squirrelly CCI primers too.

The farthest I can conveniently shoot is a bit over 400, I probably could just shoot 55-69gr bullets.
But where’s the fun in that?
It’s a shame you’re having issues with the newer CCI #41 primers. Mine are all over 10 years old so hopefully CCI will get them sorted out before I need more. FWIW, when I shot reloads that were all identical except for primer the #41’s gave me about 100fps more than the other primers I had on hand.
I'd love to shoot a tray of older 41s against the new batches. I think I've used a few hundred 450s in the past, but I'm not sure.

I've shot a lot of #41s under 25.5gr Tac/55gr FMJ. Also a bit of it under 25gr XBR/55gr FMJ. I wonder if it's the powder/bullet combo.
Edited to Add: My buddies go-to accuracy load is #41/23gr XBR/77gr Nosler CC. This whole debacle really makes me wonder what's going on.

I've ran the 41s with TAC too when working up the Match Burner load. Although better than fast powder, still not right.

Ive had these out to distance and they fly well. However, I am seeing a much greater group size than with the 69s.
I plan to do a head:head against 77gr nosler CC soon.

Cool. I need to revisit these some time too. I actually loaded some 55gr FMJs and shot them yesterday. Tried to shoot them to 1000 yards with the 20" bolt gun. Not a pretty effort, but it was fun to try.

I find the 55's get unpredictable through the transonic range. The 69gr rmr seem to hold pretty true (my friend hit 1k with 69's the same day I hit with the 75's).
COMPARISON
So, these are single 10-shot groups, and I'm not a machine or Molon - a bit of this variation is from me, but it's consistent variation if that makes sense - I actually just discovered some inconsistency in my grip so I need to train that out!
Results are:
-Bullet
-ES all 10
-ES of best 7 shots
-ES of best 4 shots
If there is interest in other measurements, let me know.
