Definitely forgot about transonic. We shot the 55s again yesterday with wind, and it was impossible to get a bullet on the mount... let alone a hit.

The 85gr match burners are too long for AR mags right?

No. Not at all. We already have the 88 ELDMs loaded long, so I wouldn't take on another of those long loaded cartridges too. These are mag length. I'm loading them with 23.0 TAC and Fed primers.

Just opened these up, and they are weird looking. Appears to be a rouge left all over them. I plan to wash them thoroughly. If it's really a rouge, it will ruin a barrel. I think sinister here had a barrel throat ruined due to rouge left inside some brass.

Mine are a little dark (look oxidized). Good to know, Ill probably acid wash them.

I ended up tumbling mine. 90% came out clean, but a handful looked like they had a botched moly job. Someone from Sierre messaged me that he thought they were SMKs and they DO NOT use rouge.. so that's good. Here's the uglies:

Lmfao, mine are not that rough!!
Try acid washing them. A quick stir un clr should remove oxides.

Or any HCl based cleaner (the works)
Avoid sulfuric or ammonia (base not acid)

Edit: i do have some rough ones. Oxidized for sure. A 10 minute vinigar wash gets them brightened up.

    After and before:
