Partly that no doubt, but far worse then that is it applies to covid and their responses in general in my view as condensed above. They allowed themselves to be politicized and weaponized for the pissing match with the orange guy, and we were caught in the middle.

Also as I said from day one: When the smoke finally clears, there will be a lot of finger pointing and most of them will be right.

I agree on the pissing match.

Another factor is that things rapidly evolved as our knowledge grew. The general population isn't too bright, and when the advice changed based on new knowledge, they believed they had been "lied to" prior, even when it was explained how and why the new advice was in place. I myself thought "this shit is just the flu..." until it actually arrived and I got to see what it did even in healthy people. Never in the nearly decade and a half that Ive done this have we "opened up a flu unit" full of vented patients. Nor do I see the absolutely wild bloodwork from them. You can all but reliably spot a covid patient in the ER just based off of a coag panel and zero other data.

The evidence on what's really going on is overwhelming. It's just a matter of time until this event is undeniable to all accept the hardcore true believers and/or morons - I'd say around 20%.

Then the only question that will remain will be what are we gonna do about the perpetrators.

My vote: Get a rope!

It is a good sign people are actually looking for evidence. More will come out eventually. If it attacks the heart chances are it attacks others.

Read that one when it came out yes. It's another important data point that can't be ignored for sure, but has to be viewed in context too, which I touch on in the OP write up. "Vaccines for all" was bad policy, and risk/benefit did not/does not, add up for everyone favoring being vaccinated to be sure.
