I am tired spent all day either with a rifle that the optic was giving me major headache. Or trying to get a business deal going with rich idiots.
So let me try this again.
I have built a poly 80% frame it was fun, but I don't want to do it again.
I like the way the Grey Ghost frame looks more than the lone wolf. I know the loan wolf is bought as a finished frame either with parts installed or you can install the parts. Since I will be pulling the old parts from my really old Glock frames, I just want to plug them into a ready to go frame.
I did refinish the frame using carbide silica, and then painted it with Alumihyde and it looked great. It felt terrible in my hand, so I ground off all the paint epoxy and carbide silica.
Now the frame looks like a rat rod. I just may spray it with the clear grit I bought and let it go.
I can’t say for sure how long a Glock frame will last. However, I have numerous 2nd gen glocks that have seen many rounds. This includes my 2nd gen 17 with approximately 285,000 rounds down the tube. It is still going strong.
Cheers, Steve
