Not just sacrificed, turned into Happy Meal cheeseburgers for the kiddos. Or maybe into gas-station hot-case foods.

It will be interesting to see if the feds appeal. I suspect that they will. Otherwise, they will have spent a ton of (our) money just to give me three free stamps.

Not to be contrary, but there were no free "stamps" issued. Just a conditional acceptance "pursuant to the rule." There is a much better than even chance that once the rule is overturned, then so will the conditional acceptance. In all likelihood, people will be required to remove any stocks and go back to braces or bare tubes. FWIW.

Or, once the rule is overturned the individuals who registered for stamps will be on a list and required to register and pay or be in unlawful posession of an SBR.

Which is precisely what I've expected our favorite*snort* bunch of Wannabe Einsatzgruppen to have as their Plan B all along.

The law specifically allows the President to have an amnesty registration. That part of this has been in place and can't be overturned. As screwed up as all this is, I don't see the feds attempting to overturn that part of what they did. Plus, the remedy for anyone who doesn't want their gun to be in the registry is to simply put a brace on it and send in a letter to have it removed from the registry. Not that they won't keep that record somewhere, but that's how it works in theory.

I did my third submission in May. It got denied in September because I forgot to sign it. They let me sign it and snail mail it in. It got approved in November.
