Ive been running a Razor Gen 3 1-10x for just over a year now and i'm a huge fan. Last weekend I attended a carbine precision and accuracy workshop in the middle of Utah with ranges anywhere from 7-360 yards with a 1-10x on my 14.5 urgi clone-is. Yeah up close some of the guys with eotechs and aimpoints were that much faster, but I never felt hindered by the gen3 on 1x. When we stepped back past 100 the gen3 (and other lpvo's) really excelled. Im a huge fan of the reticle, especially as its semi transparent as others have mentioned, and the eye box and glass clarity is top notch. The only thing I would change is add a parallax/side focus adjustment. But overall I just love this optic.
