Mine is approaching 1500 without swapping. I guess I am in the DANGER ZONE. lol.

I will say, the guy from BWE is a master with UZIs. He fixed my horrible Vector full auto uzi that I got dirt cheap (in NFA terms) because the prior owner couldn't figure out how to fix it.
Let those who are fond of blaming and finding fault, while they sit safely at home, ask, ‘Why did you not do thus and so?’I wish they were on this voyage; I well believe that another voyage of a different kind awaits them.”

Perhaps, but comparing it to an IMI factory barrel that I have, it's plain to see that the feed ramp area of the factory barrel is significantly different. I spoke to him about it and he is certainly knowledgeable about Uzi's, but in this particular case he's just wrong. To his credit, he did offer me my money back. Ultimately, I decided to keep the barrel and modify the feed ramp myself as nobody else offers the same threaded barrel.
Dumb question but wouldn't it have been easier to just thread an IMI barrel?

Second dumb question, why are you threading barrels at all when most Uzi suppressors simply replace the barrel nut and lock in place?

Yes, but then I wouldn't have an unthreaded barrel. Plus, this was for an UZI Pro. I needed a US barrel for 922(r) compliance so I could SBR it.

I wasn't aware of such a suppressor, but that would require me to buy another suppressor.

So I meant grabbing a spare IMI barrel to be threaded. I think I have about 6 extras floating around.

And yeah, most Uzi suppressors just replace the barrel nut, the ratchet prevents them from walking.

A dedicated Uzi suppressor isn't really any different from having a dedicated MP5 (3 lug) suppressor. Additionally if you are running a 9mm handgun suppressor, it probably isn't rated for a full auto. I was able to snag a Mossad-II when Gemtech still made them.

The price on the Century AP5's has fallen some more. Palmetto State Armory has AP5-M for $900+shipping+tax. I never thought that I'd see a price like that on a legitimate factory built MP5 clone.

That’s because (nearly) everyone wants the threaded models.

Nice video. At about 27 minutes when he’s firing the check 124 grain stuff out of the long barrel model it seems like the injection is kind of all over the place? I haven’t paid attention to see if that’s common with MP5 type guns.

I need to watch again where he talks about having to file down the parts to get the pin to fit better. I was distracted with some Christmas cookie baking during that.

And to end the debate, yes, the MP5 is the Christmas gun.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

It's interesting that he is having great luck with the JHP rounds in both guns. They are fun to shoot and always a classic looking firearm.
