What is the compatibility like between the Lee housing and the century/Atlantic arms AP5 in the AP 5K models?

    Shelf lowers, versus non-shelf lowers?

I just got the braced full size model with extra mag and optic mount for $1,354 shipped from family firearms. You have to do some weird “request best price” type stuff but they’re still cheap.

Picked up the MKE AP5m some time ago. Everyone that has one should get extra extractor springs and extractor. Easy to change and very affordable. You will need them down the road.

So I have an SP5, so I think I understand what a ‘front-shelf’ means, since there is just a pin at the back and none at the front, just a tab.

So I’d need a Shelf MP5 version for my SP5.

For a AP5 with a 8.9 inch barrel, you’d need the MP5 two pin, not the shelf version.

For the AP5P (pseudo K) version- that has two pins (actually 3? Two rear and one front?)- there isn’t a Lee Sporting version?

you can’t use the MP5 two pin version on the AP5P (Short).

Picked mine up last night. I have yet to pull out its internals for cleaning, however, the fit and finish on the exterior of the gun is perfect. I honestly cannot imagine it being any nicer. Other than the "HK" roll mark I cannot see any reason that I would spend about 3 times the price to get basically the same gun. After I strip her down I will report back. Very happy with the purchase so far.

AP5 arrived yesterday. I modified these Cetme hand guards and they pop on so tight that they almost don’t need the pin. It’s a work in progress.

It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
