Killing me, I bought an AP5 and was thinking about getting an AP5-P as well hoping it would be as nice as my AP5. Looks like we're both correct.

She saw the AP5-P for the first time the other day. She said, "What gun is that?" I replied " That the AP5-P Baby. She just gave oh, huh look. Then seemed to gather her thoughts as to what she was doing and carried on.

    I was like, whew!

Now where it gets hairy is. She paid some towards the AP5 I just bought for my Birthday. So now it has an Identical case. With a very similar silhouette sticker on both sides of them.

    So far, so good though.

Yes the AP5 CORE I recently received from GUN PRIME with the free accessory kit. Looks just as good as my AP5-P. However the AP5 Had a much smoother action out of the box. Which is a non issue with the AP5-P. A Ls it has smoothed out nicely after shooting very reliably.

Now I have to find some time to get the AP5 out. I pray it's as reliable.

Was going through German immigration on a trip recently, and the officer was pretty friendly. Noticed he actually had an MP5 with two spare mags behind him. It was reaaaaaallly hard not to say “Hey, I have one of those too!”….
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

I remember landing in Frankfurt back in 1984 when all the RAF stuff was still happening and they were rolling MP5s and dogs real hard in the airport.

I finally got all of the US parts to SBR my AP5-P.

It looks good, but there are issues with the Choate stock. First, the tab on the folding portion of the stock that goes down in the U-shaped portion that's fixed to the rear of the rifle just barely goes down in the slot. It's quite possible that it would come loose while firing it. Second, the inside diameters of the holes that the pins go through are about 0.015" larger than the pins themselves. As a result, the whole stock assembly is pretty loose in the rear of the receiver. Is this typical for the Choate stock assembly? Is there any way to remedy this?

    Sweet,

What parts did you use to SBR it?

I installed the following US made parts: buttstock, handguard, cocking handle and magazine (3 parts).

I don’t really know much about this (dumb) 922r stuff. Those 3 parts were changed from the standard factory set up?

Not really, unless Choate is just selling China crap these days. Mine locks up tight in the open position and zero wobble on the double pins. I don't need to tap them in with a hammer like some of my rifles, but there is zero wobble.

But I have to wonder which one is out of spec, the stock or the MKE receiver.
