I feel for those in it's path. I went through Ida last August, the eye passed 5 miles west of me. I finished $35,000 in repairs to the house this May, just in time for this years hurricane season.

We've been fortunate. I have family on the coast of Mississippi, and they have been hit hard over the years; and even my family removed from the coast in NC have had some pretty significant damage (Floyd, Florence).

Be safe everyone! I got to experience a hurricane or 2 while in EOD school. Other than the hurricane parties, it sucked.

My MIL just left Florida last week to come up here for family reunion and to take care of her ailing mom. She’s a wreck because her dad is in the path.

I should just be getting tropical storm conditions.

I say "just" but it's like a terrible, windy storm with lightning, tornadoes, sometimes hail, that lasts all day.

Feel bad for the folks getting the full Cat 4.
