Some have CONvinced themselves they are HAPPIER there than anywhere else. Its them, not me. Let em stay there. All that geographical beauty is also covered under the all the commie ass laws and beliefs & taxes the vast majority of that state believes & votes for. Aint SHIT there, beauty wise, that I cant see more & BETTER, cheaper, elsewhere. Im all for letting them be them.
But in a few weeks, days, months or couple years...dont look for sympathy or understanding when you start the next "WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING"! thread. Its coming.

As others have said, there is shitty parts of living almost everywhere.

I don't really shoot much anymore since all my friends who were into that stuff moved away due to their careers. Started getting into cars again, but there's not much car culture here so I just spent a lot of time alone in the garage. Now I spend my free time researching financial and investment shit in the hope my wife and I can retire before I turn 50 and move around a bit instead of being stuck in one place because of work.

I guess what I'm trying to say is don't necessarily let ____ define where you live, because in a decade all that shit might seem completely stupid if your priorities change.

Oh boy, more “all or nothing” thinking.

How much is a good night’s sleep worth?

As well as this “behind enemy lines” bullshit.
You would think it was nothing but queers and Julios waving the Hammer and Sickle. But actually there are normal people.
    Maybe even realer people.

And there will be no regrets except for not moving sooner. It’s pretty tragic when moving to a different region becomes a huge political statement.
No you’re never supposed to be happy. Just consoom guns until you die with a huge pile that will get sold off after your body is removed.

You’re not allowed to like other things. You have to have guns shoved up your ass at all times.
    It’s yet another religion.

I almost respect Jamar with his Glock switch more than the people who save money and jump through hoops to buy artificially expensive full auto. At least Jamar is willing to use it for its intended person instead of just at machine gun shoots and Instagram.

Who is really free? When cities were burning and your society was changing; where were all these guns then?
The gay pride parade in Richmond absolutely doesn’t count because it was thoroughly self policed and all the permission slips were in order.

It’s become yet another cope for accepting life in poorer areas. Like Somalia. Exactly like Somalia. You can have any gun you want in Somalia.

    Sad

    Don't lose sleep over it.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

Denying the citation is a pretext for a stop is burying your head in the sand.
I live in New England. If there are j walking laws they are not enforced.

A phenomenon I have noted. And I can only assume it’s some cultural thing I’m not accustomed to. Black people walking right down the middle of the road.

I live on a quiet street three blocks from a predominantly African American neighborhood. I’ll sit on my porch and have a drink watching the foot traffic. A thing I’ve noticed is this small, but prominent (they’re in the middle of the road after all) group of people. They are exclusively black. They ultimately make up a fraction of people out walking.

No clue why this exists. But I sit and watch it.

    ------:

    Canfield Drive

FERGUSON, Mo. -- On Aug. 9, 2014, Michael Brown and a friend were walking in the middle of Canfield Drive, a two-lane street in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Missouri, when a police officer drove by and told them to use the sidewalk.

I'm not really sure how much more I will be able to shove in when and if I move out of CA. There is plenty of shoving here to be had along with all the other good stuff. I'm not saying it's perfect but all the woke stuff people keep complaining about is happening across the country.

Hopefully you all realize that a few news stories does not a 30M person society make...

Like I said before I have a front row seat to the best and worst of the state and on balance life is pretty good.

We can do better, but that can be said for pretty much everywhere nowadays...

I still can't believe I'm defending CA but I hoped there would be less closed mindedness here.

    Dennis.

Closed minded? Seriously? I suppose the truth hurts and is hard to take.

At the end of the day, California is a wackjob of a state but there are a good 10~12million folks here trying to make it work.

The same logic that says California is a lost cause would suggest the whole country is a lost cause. Half the country voted for Biden. California alone, if compared to the East Coast, would cover North Carolina up through Massachusetts. It's not the easiest place to pigeonhole.

New California Law Requires Separate Restrooms For People Who Think They Are Napoleon Bonaparte

At just under 5'6", I fully support this amendment.

Brother- youve GOT to come off this "close minded " stuff. In addition to seeing & hearing & reading & knowing how Cali has gone to utter shit for at least 50 years now...Ive been there. Many times. To places some of yall from Cali aint been. It was a total shithole back in the 90's & 2000's...what, its improved?
Nah, gotten a magnitude of times worse than anyone could have thought possible. Glad some of you found a supposed Mayberry like place to live. But you are still under demonic commie rule no matter how bucolic a place you may live in. And if/when a SHTF situation hits, theyll be fewer WORSE places to be.
Hows your gas prices today? Its $3.30 here, filled up last week on $2.94. That wouldnt make a decent Molotov cocktail in Cali.
Almost every shitty idea came from California. Youve got a few years before youll HAVE to own an electric car, and figure out a way to heat without gas. And you BETTER NOT fire up that old antiquated illegal fireplace. The good places you and others say exist are the exception..noway near the norm. Your state is pro-criminal...pro-pervert..pro-pedophile.. anti-gun AND self defense...you cant harldy do ANYTHING with your own over taxed property...the entire educational & judicial system is a libtards wet dream...the way they used to treat truck drivers way back shoulda been a crime, and I know THATS gotten even worse..I can on & on & on. You live in a house thats burning to the ground..it just hasnt hit YOUR room yet.
I truly do feel badly for those who really cant leave. I bet if the state gave free rides to anywhere like Texas/FLA does to illegals...they couldnt get anywhere near enough buses and planes.
You know who would leave down here? The fvcking ones that came from THERE, bitching about our way of life.
No place is perfect? Ill say this: If Tennessee stayed EXACTLY like it is today, 6OCT22 until the day I die..Id be a HAPPY CAMPER. Now, how many of yall would say that about YOUR state?
