Looking for a dirt cheap full size semi auto

Designed and made are two different things. Most Turkish guns sold on the US market are not original designs, but clones of other designs. Sometimes parts interchange and sometimes they don't. Based on what I've purchased, their clones are every bit as good as the originals from a quality and reliability standpoint. Yes, they have some cheaply made guns just like we do in the US, but that's the exception and not the rule.

The 1911s are pretty good IMHO.

I understand the philosophy of having a sacrificial firearm to leave in a vehicle, but if I even think for a second I might have to defend my life with it, I go back to dependable guns. I understand some folks also can't afford $1500 handguns, but I can't wrap my head around going lower than $500 on a G19. It's like putting a gun in a sock and then in your pocket because decent CCW holsters are $100.
