    What happened to Troy Industries?

They USED to have decent looking AK rails that had some who liked them. They seemed to have STOPPED production or went south - but still list AK rails in the web site. What is up with Troy Industries?

You know they are making complete rifles now right?

I think they are pretty AR centric now.

They have a nutty pump action AR that has an appeal I can’t justify and yet I want it given the low prices they’re going for now.

I do run their VFG in stubby config. But yeah... you don't hear too much from them lately.

Forgot about that. But I think the real problem is most people with an AR are more than willing to accessorize it with ChinaMart / Airsoft parts and the remaining guys who are serious about their stuff have LOTS of options. Maybe once upon a time Troy and LaRue were the only game in town, but right now Centurion rails seem to be the ones to have.

Been avoiding Troy for years since I found out about this. I still have one of their handguards in a parts bin, and one mounted on a 308, but I certainly won't be sending them any more money. It's not like there aren't better products available from other US manufacturers.

I too avoided Troy for their stupidity for a while, but they make my favorite VFG, and Tango Down's price was just absurd for a piece of plastic.

They seem to kind of fizzle out after whatever issue went down, I don't know much about it so I won't comment, I did purchase one of their .308 guns because I got a serious deal on it but I don't think I would buy anything from them ever again. The gun looks nice and shoots well but there are little things that irk me. Like it came with CTR stock that the friction lock broke on in the first range trip. The trigger on it was garbage, gritty and no lie had to be 8-10 pound trigger. Mag release is too tight so I can't eject a mag with one finger and I can't adjust it because the bolt release is in the way and there is no way to to remove the bolt release because the pin hole isn't drilled all the way through.

So honestly other companies with better quality products for less money really hurt the company, also their terrible website doesn't help.
