In principle, it’s a hybrid between AR-18/180 recoil system and AR-15 gas operation. I recall the original MCX had high cyclic rate issues and never read how that has been solved in current gen rifles. I’d hazard a guess that this will have similar characteristics with the lower mass and necessary spring rates. The longevity of this system will be interesting as more data comes in from users. It’s kind of how the firearms industry seems these days; the customers are the beta testers.

On another note, there’s this article, from The Firearm Blog, on Bufferless BCGs from Evolution Weapon Systems published a few years back. I wonder if there’s any relation?

If it's cross-compatible KNS Precision makes the plug. I'd be tempted to combine this with aa KNS 1913 adapter, then a Midwest STAP sidefolder storage tube (with or without my MacGyvered QD adapter from an optic riser) and an SBA3 or SBA4 brace. IF Pedo Merrick (no proof, but he DOES have that skeevy chomo look about him) and his Bunch of Asshat Terrorist Fascists weren't on the warpath toward AR's y whatever tricks they can think up, that is...

It’s not cross compatible. It uses the extra length of the law folder. That said, someone could make a rail adapter that has the extra needed length. It’s not a particularly complicated part compared to the folder.

And they want the superior weight, balance, and egos of an AR vs an AK or FAL or similar.

For short guns the Law folder is pretty handy for transport, with an 8" 9mm AR it fit in my range bag or backpack.
Shooting it folded doesn't interest me at all, not too hard to close it up as is.

I sold off the 9mm stuff and put it on a rifle for a bit, now it sits in a drawer.

Still no problem, just screw the KNS plug into the LAW folder, clamp on optic riser then bolt on the non-folder STAP. Longer, heavier and clunkier but same final result.

Now if only I could find a rail-mount hinge to partner with takedown kits... thinking something designed for "pull barrel/HG back an inch to unlock hinge, flip, pull back again to lock in firing position then work your QRB/Dolos/etc locks as normal."

Needs a dedicated lower with seamless folding stock design to really interest me.

I have a Law Tactical ARIC

I just got a Law Tactical ARIC and installed it in my 7.62x39 AR carbine. It already had a Law Tactical folding adapter and a Sentry 7 adjustable gas block. It is very much like the recoil system of the AR-180. It will be a while before I can test it due to the winter cold. I plan to set the gas block only 2 clicks from fully closed and the open it a click or two at a time until I achieve reliable lock back.
