    Very interesting thread.

    Do you happen to know the storage conditions of the 1931 primers ?

    Obviously they aged well !

    Good question!

    I bought them at an estate sale. The old guy did all of his reloading from an attached climate controlled garage in SW Michigan. His daughter running the sale after his untimely death had no idea where he got the primers from.

    In addition to the large rifle primers, I also had 45 caliber pistol primers. Same vintage and same construction. I couldn't use them. The primers are too small for my, and all current production, 45 acp brass. When did the US military switch the primer pocket size?
