    Slug Gun Scopes?

Do any slug hunters have recommendations on a decent scope for hunting deer and hogs out to about 130 yards with sabot rounds? I’ve upgraded my old school iron sighted smoothbore for a rifled barrel with a cantilever mount, and I think a magnified optic would fit my needs—mainly for dealing with tight shooting lanes in the Florida brush. I have seen Vortex and Leupold models suggested online, but my local shops are all out of stock so I figured I’d ask the brain trust here before getting something.

    Thanks!

Fixed 4x or a 1-6 would be perfect. I have hunted for the past 25 years with a fixed 4x on my rem 870 cantilever barrel gun.

Don’t rule out a decent red dot sight either.

Within slug gun range a simple red dot makes a good case for itself.

Definitely agreed. I am a huge fan of snagging a used Aimpoint H-1 and mounting it on a slug gun. That size dot just works very at those distances.
