    Identify this rifle..

Recent robbery in a larger remote village in Alaska. I'm not well versed in early AR variants. Anybody have a rough guess what this may be? If you click on the photo in the article it should get larger. Fixed carry handle, no flash hider...

    Klinton era AR.

Riots are like sports, it's better to watch it on TV at home.

Could be Bushmaster or Olympic Arms from back in those dark times.

I cannot quite tell if it's non threaded or if it has a bayonet lug, but that carry handle does look fixed to the upper receiver.

You’d be surprised how unarmed most of Alaska is.

It looks like one if those Clinton era AR15 that's been emasculated for mass consumption.
Carry handle, no flash supressor, no bayonet lug.

I remember mongos milling off bayo studs back then. Same slappies with Molon Labe stickers on their Jettas.

Update: Police say the man is left-handed. Only 10% of the population is left-handed.

The store was hit on Monday night by a lone gunman with an M-16-style firearm, who fired several shots. One shot ricocheted off the floor and hit the counter, after which two employees at the counter fled, as the man shot at them several times, but missed.

Or... Missed because he was PRETENDING to be left handed to throw the popo off his trail...

Going to have to practice my left hand AR shooting for in case I ever want to pull some robbery action stuff in the future!
