    Free-float fore-end apparatus

    Can anyone here give me an idea what hand-guard works with the apparatus I have pictured below?

    That's the cave man FF method for a 20" AR15 rifle. The plain old A2 handguards would go on there for the competition shooters.

    Yep. Really long Bbl. nut. I think these came about as a means to free-float "service rifle" barrels while keeping the rifle within the rules of Service Rifle competition.

    That's my understanding. You can use other handguards compatible with the standard A2 attachment, I'd guess. Magpul, Bravo, etc.

    I mean. You still have a cap and delta ring attachment method. I don't know that I'd want to go to the trouble unless I wanted both A2 handguards AND free float.
