I think this is a semi-auto version of the SCAR SC which is a special purpose weapon for military and police. This is more for military weapons collectors than the general gun buyer.

A few years ago, it would have been interesting- but now? How many piston/non-DI short-barrel/pistols are there? Even in Euroflavers your B&T, CZ? Not to mention PPC, that at 7.5inch isn’t that far off?

Perfect for a suppressor and if you have to shoot 556. 300BLk with a suppressor- even better.

And I bet it aint cheap…

If they do not sell the stock pictured below, then it's pointless.

I think the 10" barrel version would be better for the cartridge.

10” absolutely would’ve made more sense in the 5.56, and the scar scw/15p receiver is shorter than the 16 so throwing a 10” barrel on it will look silly, if it’s even compatible (which I guess it’s not) and as someone who spent an extra grand on getting a 10” barrel to sbr their 16s, I would’ve LOVED a 10” pistol option from the get go.

That being said I kinda want

While I said that it's pointless, that won't preclude me from buying one. I'll just be a lot more motivated if I can get that stock. I'll probably just wait a while to see how this pans out. I waited until this year to get a SCAR-L, so what's a few more years of waiting?

Anyone spent time behind the CZ Bren 2 with 8.2" barrel? Seems very similar to this, but probably a lot less money than FN will charge for this.

I have the 11" Bren in 7.62x39. The ergonomics are great and it's light, but it's not 100% reliable. CZ has been very slow to fix the issues and offer parts.

I wasn't talking about the full size SCAR tho. I was talking about this SCAR pistol.

Exactly, it has a pic adapter on the back, several stock and brace options for that. Including the Maxim Defense brace that is very similar to what Bret showed https://www.maximdefense.com/product...ny-rail-stock/

As a SCAR lover, I am disappointed by this offer. It should have a > 10 inch barrel in 5.56.

A 7.5 inch 300 black out would have been the bomb.

Agree that it is pointless without the cool collapsible stock, but hopefully MGW gets them.

The 5.56 version of the short Bren 2 is out on auction sites as low as $1,399. It’s difficult to imagine the shorty Scar offers anything additional for 2.5(?) times the price.
