But if you're looking for lightweight, best field of view in the category, excellent eyebox, superb glass, and a great price, I would strongly recommend people take a look at it.

I would love to compare it in hand to the Steiner. Have been thinking of replacing an older LVPO, and was just going to get another PA, but now I'm wondering if the Steiner would be a good alternative or not.
I messed with one and it felt like an expensive Vortex Strike Eagle......... Just do not see it holding up.

Interesting! Thank you for that assessment. Gonna pick up a Steiner from somewhere with a solid return policy and see if I like it. Camera Land NY has it for $1399 shipped, a solid deal.

The noticeable difference between 1x6 and 1x8 is probably very little.

Thanks for the thoughts. I have been really impressed with this scope but also the sai 1-6. Only thing I didn’t like about the sai was the bdc reticle. Much prefer the Steiner reticle. Either way, we need to get a new gen atacr 1-8 into your hands. I prefer it over the 1-10 vortex.

Website says at least one of the turrets can be swapped for capped. Can anyone elaborate on this?

I would also like confirmation of this if possible.

Doc, have you tried the NF NX8 1-8 with the FC-DMX reticle? If so, would you still recommend the Steiner instead?

Yes, I had that NX*, I do not like the eye box or the relief on the Nightforce at all. I sold that scope after the first range trip.

I will have to look at the caps. It comes with a bunch of stuff in the box.

I had the same impressions. Beyond the light weight and small footprint, it offers nothing that other optics do much better.
