    Is this a Keymod slot?

MI gen 2 ss rail. I tried contacting MI, but I know they are busy.

I'm going to say no, it does not have the angle on the inside of the slot like Keymod

That's their new K-LOK rail. Accepts both keymod and M-Lok accessories.

    Kidding. I don't know either.

I don’t have a clue what it is. But it does look like about 10 seconds on my belt sander, and an m-lock nut will fit. The slot is just a hair too narrow.
I have never owned anything keymod, so I figured I’d ask before I went with an m-lock hand stop.
    Thanks.

I believe it is to allow an included bipod stud to be mounted.

The bipod stud threads into any of the threaded holes. I don’t think that’s it.
I wonder if MI was working on a new mounting system, and lost interest? If I remember correctly this hand guard was manufactured around the time that Keymod was in it’s infancy, and I’m pretty
sure M-lock was not a thing yet.
At any rate, a very small amount of material can be removed from an m lock nut, to make it fit.
