Can a RMR be mounted to an ACOG TA31F?
Can I mount an RMR on a TA31F after the fact or do I need to buy a TA31D for this functionality? The RMR I’d ultimately like to use isn’t the one that comes standard with the TA31D. I remember now why I never got into ACOGs after retiring from the Army even though I was quite happy with its performance in Afghanistan.
It’s not that there are so many variants (though there are), but that Trijicon doesn’t seem to have collated all of the actionable data an prospective owner may wish to know, all in a concise, easily found data sheet for each model.
You all helped me a few days past to purchase a TA31RCO-A4CP for an A4/A5 clone. If I understand what I’ve read on this particular model, it appears that I can mount a RMR to ACOG, yes?
I’m getting the TA31F for a clone of my Afghanistan M4 clone not because it’s the best choice for the rifle, but because it’s the one I used. The rifle I used in combat obviously didn’t have a piggybacked RMR, but if one can be then I just see that as icing on the cake, i.e. a capability that I’d be foolish to not avail myself of.
