    Colt's new bolt gun

    Guess it was about time:

"In a surprising turn of events, Colt announced the introduction of a bolt-action precision rifle. Since CZ’s acquisition of Colt in 2021, we have wondered in what directions we’d see Colt move and now it seems that Colt will be leveraging some of CZ’s existing expertise in precision bolt action rifle design. The CBX Precision Rifle utilises a bolt design from the CZ 600 series of rifles, pairing it with a new aluminum chassis system developed with MDT which has a 6 o’clock ACRA rail and 3 and 9 o’clock M-LOK slots.

The CBX is aimed firmly at the Precision Rifle Series market and comes in two chamberings on launch, a 24” barrel gun in .308 Winchester and a 26” barrel gun in 6.5 Creedmoor. The rifle is AICS magazine compatible and ships with a 5-round Magpul magazine. MSRP for Colt’s first foray into the bolt action world is $1,899."

Every few decades Colt collaborates with someone on a bolt action.

J.P. Sauer, Cooper, probably a few others over the years.

The author of this article must be bad at research.

Provided it works and can shoot, not bad for a beginner. Tons of off the shelf for these 800 dollar guns. Consider the chassis price into this.

I like the barrel lengths. The last thing we need however is another gun to feed.
