I'm disappointed in the "mainstream" narrative about this. At least amongst "conservatives". The government is not supposed to be run by whims and fancy. Good one moment and illegal the next. The ATF opened this can, they should have to eat whatever they found inside. They undermined SBR rules with their original determination. They built on it with later decisions. An industry was born. Now they don't like it. Too bad. Eat those worms.
I don't have any braced firearms, so I don't care much personally. It's up there with bump stocks as far as I am concerned, but principle matters.
Isn't this kind of tyranny the reason the founders created the 2A?
It's pretty useless though given that so many Americans have succumbed to the culture of compliance for security.
Expect more tyranny until there's a mass Exodus of this culture of compliance because the constitution and lawsuits aren't going to change the hearts and minds of the tyrants.

Everyone planning on getting a free tax stamp IT'S A TRAP. First ATF is setting up a separate data base to process brace registration, why, second if you are delayed 88 days then you are automatically denied and in possession of a unregistered SBR. So totally trust the ATF they have your best interest at heart, also don't forget that every foreign made pistol imported capable of taking a brace was really always a rifle and must be surrendered or destroyed.
