Another interesting development is that in a state like New Germany, er, “Jersey,” if you have the Troy A4 Other (that comes with the letter from the NJ State Police that says it’s legal) and you try to now do what the federal government has decided to force you to do, to register it, you are just admitting to owning what has now switched, overnight, from a perfectly legal braced firearm, to a perfectly illegal SBR, which is about as popular with NJ lawmakers as a raging case of hemorrhoids.

If all of this wasn’t about as maddening and infuriating as anything I’ve dealt with before in this ridiculous state, then I’d be very interested to see where the legal battle goes when one shows up for court after being jammed up for having a firearm that was sold to you in the state, with a letter from the state’s own police force, explicitly stating that it was legal at the time of purchase…

I know that I’m just stating the obvious, but it’s so incoherent that it is mind boggling. And there’s a number of states where it is surprising that it is not legal to own an SBR so as you attempt to abide by federal law, you are admitting to breaking state law. These are ones that surprised me: Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Missouri, etc. There’s 22 states where owning an SBR is illegal if I’m not mistaken.
"Why "zombies"? Because calling it 'training to stop a rioting, starving, panicking, desperate mob after a complete governmental financial collapse apocalypse' is just too wordy." or in light of current events: training to stop a rioting, looting, molotov cocktail throwing, skinny jeans wearing, uneducated bunch of lemmings duped by, or working directly for, a marxist organization attempting to tear down America while hiding behind a race-based name

I don't know about the others, but it's 100% legal to own a SBR in Georgia. There are no state restrictions on them here.

Florida: For SBR: Firearms in violation hereof which are lawfully owned and possessed under provisions of federal law are excepted. Also, overall length of less than 26 inches.

The only states where an SBR is illegal are the ones you wouldn't be surprised about, as in California, Hawaii, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Maryland, and not a state DC.

It sure seems as though there are enough really terrific lawsuits, and, combined with the ruling in the EPA case, it sure seems that we have a pretty good chance of winning this one.

Lots of states, Georgia included, have laws making machine guns, SBRs, and suppressors illegal, but all the free ones have an exception for ones in compliance with federal law. IOW, registered and with a tax stamp.

And this is one more problem the "Let's Repeal/Strikedown NFA" set refuse to see, and another part of why GCA68 needs to be filleted like a fish FIRST.
