.223 question on fragmentation

after buying 4 boxes of that walmart federal value packs of 100 rd. 55 gr. .223
i was thinking is this the same as the xm193
well the big question is does this ammo fragment like m193
and that got me thinking do other plinking ammo fragment
like remington umc ammo or winchester .223 ammo
since thats what i mostly use for plinking
has anyone used this ammo on ballistics gel or any other kind of testing to find out

Most all of it will fragment. If you are looking for a good non-fragmenting round I'd look for at bonded ammo. Its expensive but its normally for special purposes but here is a link to it.
