You found one part that wouldn't fit on one gun. Believe it or not I have seen a 870 extractor that wasn't a drop in fit on a 870 bolt, it had to be modified to fit. Some of the Hawk 982 & Pardner pump have metric thread pattern receiver studs, but only a few. Also the forend tube on the Hawk 982 is a little larger in diameter than the 870. There are a few very minor differences but only a few.

The Wingmaster bolt dropped right in!

Sorry but I believe it was a mistake to do what you did to the Hawk bolt. You ruined perfectly good bolt.

well I've had one for a few months now and I like it. the action was stiff but I figured it just needed to be broken in. turns out I didn't notice the cosmoline on the mag tube under the pump. oops.

took the gun apart and cleaned off the tube, inside the pump, inside the receiver, and the bolt. I haven't run many rounds through it so it still needs to break in.
