I've used the Dawson punches many times. I wrap them with painters tape first and then tread lightly!

Sight pushers never worked for me; brass or aluminum dowel, or blade type screwdriver filed/ground to fit slide dovetail/sight base and a legit hammer always works.

I've been using an older version of the above MGW sight tool, for slanted rear sights, for years now. It can also work with some straight-sided rear sights, too, but there's a similar model specifically for straight-sided Glock rear sights. I've had up to 10 Glocks at a time, so I've gotten my money's worth from this tool over the 20+ years of ownership.

I've got a few other rear sight tools, but don't recommend them: Glock's own brand, a discontinued version from Glockmeister, and a universal, probably discontinued B&J P500 sight tool.

On retrospect, even though I haven't tried one of these newer multi-brand/model versions, I'd consider the newer MGW tool:

although I'd need to buy several slide adapters for the various brands and models of guns I own.

I bought this wheeler sight pusher about 6 months ago and it has worked great on both my glock 19's. I replaced both sight sets with some ameriglo's and it worked flawless. It's very easy to use and it's rather robust in construction so it appears it will last. I highly recommend it and it's not too expensive.

I read a review and bought the Real Avid Master Sight Pusher: https://www.realavid.com/product/master-sight-pusher/

So far I've used it to install Dawson fiber optic fronts and rears on a S&W M&P 2.0 and a RIA 1911 9mm. Worked good.

I use this for on the range adjustments, though: https://www.wyomingsightdrifter.com/...-sight-drifter

It works great, don't recall if it has been mentioned in this thread.

I'm outing myself as a cheap cuss, but I bought an NCStar VISM and it works fine for my needs (i.e., replacing Glock dovetail filler). The best part is, the tool is inexpensive enough that there are no worries with bringing it to the range for fine tuning windage.
