So I got a friend in the family thats has manufacturing in the wallet.

Disclaimer: Everything is legal and on the books.

He makes mostly aks and ars from 80s and sells them at gun shows, but he can also manufacture cans.
Im contemplating the idea of getting a few made, pay the stamp yadda yadda yadda.

Now its nothing fancy, just traditional baffle stacks in a tube with end caps keeping it together and very much a high back pressure can.
Im probably just run them as direct thread, but the idea of maybe going with a yhm whatchamacallit with their new taper mount setup.

Or should I just save money and time and buy yhm turbo 3s, I already have enough saved up for 3 just been waiting to find the right time and yes I know the longer I wait the longer it takes to get the approval back.

Just not really sure where to go at this point seeing as I have a very basic bitch can making availability is kinda enticing.

Do both. Get a cheap one quickly (Form 1), and get nicer ones that take longer.

    Yes, one of each.

Have the F1 can made with 1 3/8-24 universal threads at the rear.

Try to keep weight between 12-16 oz all in.

Also order up a Turbo T3.

With these options, you can run direct thread adapters or use a taper system like the excellent Xeno system.

The thought did cross my mind, was thinking about the new yhm taper system.

Ok so hes got basic rudimentary machinating equipment, computer controlled lathe some other things.
What could one to to make a baffle stack in a tube more up to date and not so high backpressure?

Theres a good thread by papabear i think, and some other people about form1 cans.

Clipping the baffles is probably the best bang-for buck option.
