    Gas Key Leak

Rifle was running fine but decide after cleaning to put some oil around the gas key and blow some air through the key.

Saw lots of bubbles on the front side of the key. Tried 2 other BCG and both also seemed to leak. Is this typical? I thought they were sealed with a permatex gasket?

Not everyone seals the gas key.

Sionics does, and uses O.C.K.S gas key screws.

I wouldn't sweat it if the gun runs fine. I had a key fastener break, and that amount of leakage short stroked the gun.

In other words, if the leak was an issue, you'd know it for sure.
