The old Phantom is good in a pinch!

    Very much YHM Phantom-esque!

I went a different route for now.

I will figure out what to do with the fire breathing dragon at a later date.

Lord. We pulled the suppressor off of a 14.5 this weekend and it had the Breakout AAC mount. Holy Smoke! That sucker was obnoxiously punishing. Just miserable. I'd forgotten how awful a break is on a 14.5

First time I took my wife shooting was indoors with an 11.3” and brake. It didn’t recoil a lot, but my head was ringing.

I just test fired a new upper that Trajectory Arms set up for me.

FCD 6315km on a proof research 14.5" barrel. Very soft shooting with no bark at all.

The other two muzzle devices I've tried (aside from the A2 Flash hider) are PWS brake, and BCM's gunfighter. I ended up cutting the PWS off the barrel due to brain damage concerns. The BCM, on the other hand seemed a little loud, but no brain damage.

On my 16" GPR I've got a VG6 Gamma muzzle brake. It was a little annoying for person on either side of me due to blast, though I was fine behind it.

I added a VG6 Cage device, which mitigated most of the blast for persons on either side, but left the muzzle jump control intact.

I would put on whatever not obnoxious, flash hider or suppressor mount that makes sense for your purposes. In the mean time install a properly ported gas tube from Black River Tactical.

If you want a carbine to shoot soft then get it properly gassed and forget about a muzzle brake. Black River makes this easy.
