I've used loc-tite blue a few times on pistol optics with good results.
But recently I had one come loose. I didn't try to get into the holes with alcohol to remove the factory oils prior to installation, just the screws, so maybe I just got sloppy.
I noticed during a post-range inspection.
Should I be using Loc-tite red or some other product?
