But the government is an organized crime syndicate with a lot of power. At this stage exposure isn't harmful like it would have been 30-40 years ago because the corruption is too vast.

It does seem that the GOP in Texas is putting some planning and resources behind him.
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.
It's that simple.
