    Good point Clint, sometimes I skip over obvious to me/machinist information.

    It is very problematic to try to start a drill into the angled side of a gas block. Your drill will want to walk out. A gas block with a flat and a spot like above will be much easier to just drill. It will also be easier to line up the correct location to drill. Clamp the gas block and barrel in the vice, then without turning on the press, bring the drill down gently and adjust the vice position so the drill is centered on the spot. Clamp the vice down and you are ready to drill.

    A 1/8” center cutting endmill or a number 4 drill/countersink should be used on a gas block that doesn’t have that flat spot cut out.

    BRD has end mills and finishing reamers for tapered and straight pins as well.
    When you price it all out the BRT gas block is the better choice.
    As long as you have a 0.0750" gas block, if not the BRD jig looks like it will work well for that operation.
