Just watched a video and from the outside, everything looks similar.
I was curious about Bill Ruger's designs and found them similar to other older designs from others.
So, does anyone here know?

I'd always heard/read the M-1 Carbine was inspiration for the Ruger .44 Magnum Carbine which in turn was for the 10/22.
The Ruger 10/22: History & Design
Gettin' down innagrass.
Let's Go Brandon!
And Blackhawks and Redhawks are clearly old Colt designs modified.
He made a fairly close baby nambu .22lr copy, but wouldn't sell it due to being easy to conceal.

The Mark II came along later. Ruger's first pistols were named "the Ruger Pistol". The Mark I Target was developed and the original renamed the Standard Model. Roger started selling pistols in 1949 and then brought out the Mark I in 1951. He was a busy guy.
Absolutely right they were inspired by the Nambu, styled to resemble the Luger.
The original ad says they can be disassembled in 5 seconds, telling that it doesn't mention the trip to a gunsmith for reassembly
