    Best Ankle med kit

Anyone used an ankle rig for med kit?

    chest seal compact
    small shears
    wound packing gauze
    trauma bandage
    gloves
possibly a flat roll of duct tape, not medical
    TQ

or some of the above because I am a big guy but currently sub 250#

    Curious about this too.

I would ditch the shears so long as you carry a non-serrated pocket knife.

This is a very good piece of kit; Dark Angel ankle kit

I'm curious why non-serrated is important.

It's been my experience that they cut clothes smoothly without needing any "sawing" motions that you will want to avoid since you aren't using shears.

    Okay, that makes sense.

I have been using a Ryker Nylon Gear rig for years, to the point that it feels weird without it. Just seals, TQ, shears, combat gauze, and gloves. I also drop in an ITS Tactical pouch with the same contents when wearing cargo shorts. I actually use the shears every now and then when unexpectedly needed. Hope to never need to use the other items. No affiliation with either company.
