The .gov has been busy cleaning up Hanford Nuclear reservation for the past 40 years with no end in sight. Im not sure Nuclear is the answer.

You're not wrong. The Left's big tent will get a whole lot smaller when they have full and unquestioned control of the reins of power.

There's no guarantee of course as nothing is 100% safe, but if you compare actual technologies and such, it's clear nuclear is the safest. 3 major accidents for all time and no one died in 2 of the 3, and the third due to usual Russian habit of cutting corners and producing crap. On our side, if anything, they will be wildly over built for safety. The real issue to me is dealing with the waste. What most don't realize is you can recycle and re used the waste over and over. The Japanese already do it. We don't as it's not considered cost effective, but would be if tech developed like most things. Even die hard tree hugger types are figuring this one out

The Russian way of doing nuke for energy is different than ours, cutting corners aside. Something about using water instead of graphite to mitigate meltdowns, rods this and fission that. Summary, the way they do it indeed cuts out several safety-related steps, some see them as redundant and more expensive.

My bro-in-law is an electrical engineer but understands the nuke side of the house, spent most of his career working for Duke Energy. He is a HUGE proponent of nuclear energy.

They are certainly going out of their way to price people out of the energy market aren't they?
I'm expecting about the time the North East Freezes through some hard Winters something will be forced to be changed.
