Hey all,
I have a request; would anyone be able to measure a round of 124gr NATO? Trying to replicate a loading of this round as best I can.
Many thanks!

Is there a particular stock number of 124 gr NATO you are looking for?
You realize you most likely won’t know which and won’t be able to source the same powder.
You could just shoot it over a Chronograph and match the velocity as closely as you can with whatever powder you have……..but not if you don’t have any obviously.
I’ll check my inventory and if I still have some will pull and measure.
I got 6 gr of ball powder.

Phew, my measurement aligns with the data in that thread.
Don’t blow your pistol apart or hand off OP by using the wrong powder.
FYI:
Just pulled out a box of Winchester 9mm Nato ammo. Measured a few, got anywhere from 1.144" to 1.155".

Ha. You wanted length? I guess I suddenly can’t read and jumped right to powder charge. Sheesh.
Just use the seating depth in your manual for the bullet you are using. 124 gr RN spec is 1.150 in the Hornady manual. Other bullets will be slightly different. Commercially seated bullets will be consistently inconsistent and not something I would use for anything I load.
Regardless, I did the same with mine and got 1.152 - 4.
Pistol rounds are fairly forgiving. As long as they are close to the manual spec and will fit in the mag and chamber, I don’t obsess over them. Caveat is that they’re not obviously over seated……….
Hell, most folks I see shooting can’t hold a decent pistol group at 7 yards.

Thank you all, great info! Especially that drawing. I am surprised they are that long at 1.165. That’s .004 off max. I had expected 1.12 or 1.13 to aid feeding.
For reference, this round is for use in an MP5K clone and currently messing with Blue Dot. Has a good case fill near max book weight so hard to mess up.

Also remember that bullet ogive dimensions vary by manufacturer and must be matched to your barrel, so seating depth will most likely vary a bit.
