Browning Lightning with Bulge in barrel

I have a friend that has an O/U Browning Lightning, Belgium made shotty. Very old Grandfathers gun that reloaded and must have made a shell with no powder or whatever and the wad got stuck. Not knowing he then proceeded to shoot another shell resulting in a bulge in the Under barrel.

Is this gun safe to shoot, there are no obstructions?
The bulge is small, will attempt to a post a pic.
Can it be repaired, if so how/who/how much?
    What would you do?

Any feedback to any of the questions is greatly appreciated.

Look at it as an aneurysm PB.
At some point it may blow.
Even Shotgun ammo being extremely low pressure, I wouldn’t want to shoot it.
It may be GTG for 20K rds, or it could fail in the next two.

Saw dent removing tools in the Brownells catalog, but always assumed a bulged barrel was effectively destroyed. From what I just read it "might" be safe to shoot and/or "might" be possible to repair.

Briley has it listed as a service, but other outfits do it also.

That’s going to be major repair, if it’s even possible.

The bulge bent the top barrel, as you can see the rib is buckled.

Getting both barrels to shoot to the same POI (if the bulge can be fixed) is not going to be easy.

    Not safe to shoot.

I would try to contact Mark Novak in Charleston SC to see if he would take the job.

Interesting story, Champlain firearms said it is ABSOLUTELY Safe to shoot the shotgun. And repeated it 5X's that is is 100% safe. Fixing it is only cosmetic and gave me a shotgun maker to get fixed and assured me that guy would tell me the same. He sent me to J.J. and I'll see what he says.

    Thanks guys.
