Amazing how we got from there to here so fast.
It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.

    Chuck, we miss ya man.

Started out innocently enough with "Buy American", which led to "Buy Union" which gave people the realization that if they can actually tell people what to buy, they can probably tell them what to think and believe.

And in the 80s when Walmart was mostly "proudly made in the USA" if the price difference wasn't dramatic, I'd buy the American product which was usually better made. For tools I always bought Craftsman because "Made in the US and Lifetime Warranty", both of which are no longer true. But at least I have decent tools.

But when Bill Ruger and S&W tried to tell us how to think or what firearms they felt were suitable for "ordinary Americans", we left that shit on the shelf and it took a long, long time for both of those brands to repair the damage.
This is usually what happens when the OG dies and the kids take over. They change things to try and make more money, not caring about the fact that what the OG did was working or not and got them there to begin with.

I liked the "real American Heros" that preceded that. But I'm guessing some pussies felt the use of American Heros in parody was not appropriate.

Wasn't that a good decade ago?

Regardless, some levity. This works for all brands.

What does Bud Light, and sex in a rowboat, have in common?

I've not purchased Bud products since this fiasco started.

I spent 9 years in Germany and loved every German Beer I drank while I was there.
My biggest let down was coming home and trying to drink a Budwieser, complete chemical stew taste and that's about it.

    I drink Whiskey now.

And then the Cathy kid hopped on this bandwagon at Chick-Fil-A... https://www.breitbart.com/social-jus...ted-rap-sheet/

Pity, my local CFA has both a really good crew and a franchise owner who passes out Rewards freebies like Halloween candy, and it's REALLY conveniently placed for starting the long walk from my post-office to anywhere freshly hydrated and with some food for energy in my gut. Guess from now on, it's the extra 100yd or so to Firehouse Subs... at least so far FH hasn't been caught doing this crap.
