Can't argue with that. I think there should be 2 mounting standards: the ACRO type rail mount, and the Shield RMS for smaller pistols. The only area that the ACRO mount needs improvement is in height over bore, necessitating overly tall BUIS. The bolt-on RMS footprint is fine for smaller EDC type pistols, as they are unlikely to actually need the robustness of the rail mount.
