This is unbelievable. I've wanted to go back to Lahaina badly. I went there in my 20s and loved it.

That many dead is amazing. The fire must have swept through really fast. They still don't know the cause either.

I’ve been to Lahaina twice, just the wife and I in 2016 and we brought our son and niece in 2021. Absolutely loved Maui and there were so many great places to eat in Lahaina. We have so many great memories of our time there, and everything is gone, every place we shopped or ate at is gone except for the grocery store with the ABC store in the same building.

Sad to see. I was just there in 2019. Actually ate in one of the restaurants and walked the art galleries in that Front St. area . I have family in Maui. Not in Lahaina though. My second favorite island by a small margin. Kauai is my first pick.

It would be pretty easy for someone to build and plant timed incendiary devices, didn't Canada have like over 200 fires brake out all at about the same time?

Unreal. I’m still having a hard time wrapping my head around this. We were in Lahaina just this past January. It was such a great town and trip. Just horrible. Thoughts and prayers to all impacted.

They will blame the disaster on Climate Change and use it to push that agenda.

While ignoring the fact that it was already predicted that it would be warmer for the next few years or so due to the Tonga volcano eruption (Jan 2022) that spewed 146m tons of water vapor into the atmosphere (equivalent to 58,000 olympic sized swimming pools) , raising the water vapor content of the stratosphere by 10-15%. That natural disaster is causing warming of the earth just on its own.
