    Tapatalk Sold and being dropped

I keep getting emails from forum after forum who are dropping access from Tapatalk after it was sold.

Will M4C follow suit or does it’s pending sale put it in a state of limbo and no changes are imminent?

Anyone know why so many are dropping? Gotta be $ or privacy issues.

    Anyone?

There's always someone who cannot pass up installing another intrusive app with a shiny finish.

No shit! Just accept the terms of use and click allow total access to yer dumb fone!!! Shit. I feel like I'm the only guy who immediately starts disabling everything I can on my phone... not adding shit to it.

That's me too. I do add a few things but I find ones that don't have additional "permissions" for no good reason, and it's crazy how hard it is to do that. RealCalc by Quartic Software for example.

Remember when a bunch of gun forums were bought by Vertical Scope? Their decision to pull the plug. Notice how all the emails are identical… just date and forum name different?

I know some say it is terrible. I personally like the ability to view multiple forums with one app.

All you boomers need to get real, perusing gun websites on a computer instead of an app on your phone is not changing anything for 99% of you. Its not like you're hiding your interest in guns from the government that well.

I'm also curious about what M4C will do, I can use it on my laptop but don't nearly as often.

M4C Mobile works fine on my iPhone. I used Tapatalk many years ago. IIRC, about the only advantage that I thought was worthy is grouping different sites. Eh.... putting similar apps in a single folder makes it easy enough.

Yeah, and it STILL worries me because VerticalScope is a Canadian company run under their laws and if El Turdo the Pedo decides to squelch gun talk up there the dominoes fall down here.

The stack of gun related junk mail I get because I order a few parts and accessories form time to time makes the latter obvious, but I still don't see the wisdom in installing unnecessary apps with a multitude of permissions.
