Chevy Chase and the HK 91

A scene from the otherwise very forgettable "Deal of the Century" (1983). I doubt anyone remembers this one, but I saw it in the Nellis AFB theater back in 1983. BTW, did the HK 91 ever have a folding optical sight?

I've seen this before, but now that I'm older and wiser it bugs me how much he flags everyone

I remember this one well. No folding optical sight, no real bottle opener either.

    Damn false advertising.

It was the Galil that came with the bottle opener (and wire cutters) because to many IDF where using the lips of magazines to open coke bottles, or at least that was the rumor

Almost mentioned that. Ironically those things are more useful than a lot of rifle features.

Technically the HK91 has a wire cutter, the flash hider is slotted for a wire but it sure won't be quiet. The wire cutter found on G3 wire cutting bayonet / scabbard systems. I've seen a few people open bottles using the bipod slot on wide handguards, but there is some skill involved.

I used to use the ejection port of my M1911A1 to open beer bottles when I was in the Army. Not proud of it now but I was a lot younger then...

Yeah, don't you know you're supposed to use the magazine and lanyard loop for bottle opening?
