Does anyone own one yet? What are your thoughts?

Which model did you get and how is the accuracy?

Which cartridge did you choose and why?

I have my guy looking for a standard 16" rifle in .277F - 6.5C - 7.62N, in that order.

What optic are you sporting?

Other than the commemorative edition in .277 Fury that was a limited release with the silencer, the only caliber I see currently available is the 7.62x51. Have they announced 6.5?

I was originally looking at a 13" SBR before my family situation recently changed.

I only see 762 Nato as well on the usual sources. They're supposed to be available in all three cartridge flavors. Seems like 762 is the default answer right now. If they are out there, my guy will find one.

I have no interest in the commemorative release, this rifle will be shot.

Local gun shop had a 5.56mm version for $2700+ as of a week ago. I saw it a few weeks before that and it was still around. Perhaps a little pricey for most folks.

That’s little league. HKGuns is talking about the large frame Spear at $4200+.

I get that, but my point was that even the 5.56 version was fetching top dollar.....imagine what the reality price (if you can find one) of the new uber-calibers would be.

One of the shops near here seems to be a big SIG dealer and has various Spear LT at $2500 and Spear at $4200 with an additional $200 off pistol versions. I think the Spear in .227 and 6.5 simply haven’t been released by SIG. I don’t see them on the SIG price list or on the Lipseys website.

I’ve been watching prices and was ready to go with a 13” SBR in 7.62x51 when my plans changed. I even had an FDE ATACR 1-8 on hand.

LOL, I don't get the point of these posts. The SPEAR and SPEAR LT are very different platforms. The SPEAR LT is not just some downsized version of the SPEAR. You might as well bring up the pricing of the Cross or MPX, too.
